The membership of CR in ILL is realized in the frames of Central European Neutron Initiative (CENI) consortia involving beside CR also Austria, Hungary and Slovakia.
The CENI representatives meet annually to discuss apsects of their activities in ILL.
This year's meeting was organized by Pavel Javorský from the Department of Condensed Matter Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University. The meeting attended also the director of ILL, Helmut Schober, and the author of neutron spin-echo technique, Ferenc Mezei.
The program was dedicated mostly to financing and the preparation of new agreement between ILL and CENI for the period 2019-2023.
P. Javorský mentioned positive evolution of the neutron community in CR what, on the other hand, causes stronger financial demands from ILL. In conclusion, all participants agreed that the form of CENI consortia is beneficial for all parties and should be maintained also in the future contract.
